Why - PhysioMyDog Online Assessment

Why Have A PhysioMyDog Online Assessment

Ideal for

  • You are worried about pain, or something "not quite right" but not sure how to explain it to your vet

  • You are currently working with behaviourist, trainer

  • You live outside of PhysioMyDog radius

  • You are interested in how your dog is moving and would like to know more

Dogs talk to us in the way they move and behave.  Are we listening?

If you're working with a qualified Behaviourist or Training Provider due to your dog displaying some unwanted behaviours, you maybe wondering if these behaviours related to pain.

A study carried out in 2020, at Lincoln University by Daniel Mills, found approx 80% of dogs with behavioural issues had some form of undiagnosed pain that was a direct cause or adding to a problematic behaviour.

Perhaps your dog doesn't like being touched, brushed, approached especially by unfamiliar people.  They growl, bark, withdraw seem uneasy or overly try to please.  Are sensitive to noise, or struggle with separation anxiety, excessive chewing etc.  Your behaviourist will be able to provide more information on the reasons why dogs do these, including pain.

Having a different perspective can help give us some clues with possible areas of concern and help inform further conversations with your vet.
