Canine TTouch (Tellington Touch)

TTouch (Tellington Touch) was originally developed by Linda Tellington Jones, who initially used on horses but is now used on lots of different animals, including dogs.  This method of handling, training and rehabilitation is based on the principles of the Feldenkrais approach, which works on activating unused neural pathways to aid in recovery, improve physical and mental performance, and increasing the ability to learn.

Power of Touch

I like to use it as an introduction to a treatment session, especially if the dog is particularly anxious. It works wonders on our reactive boy Baxter.  It's known to help change a dog's expectation of what human hand contact means which has HUGE benefits.  It also helps

  • Promote calm and relaxtion

  • Increase self confidence

  • Release tension

  • Increase circulation

  • Relieve stiffness
