In my experience, there are lots of preconceptions of what Reiki is which can put many people off. So what is Reiki? Some weird ritual thing? Where you have to chant or see colours?
Reiki is a gentle and relaxing therapy which stimulates the body’s own healing mechanisms. It can help bring the body back into balance through gentle techniques and release emotional tension and crosses over naturally with the other therapies such as Animal Physiotherapy & Massage I use during my treatment sessions.
Everything around us is made of energy, from the ground we stand on, to our bodies and our very thoughts and emotions. Reiki is quite simply, a way of using energy (which we all have) to help the body physically and emotionally. A simple yet effective method of working with energy which involves using the hands to channel energy through the body in order to bring about healing.
